Another day, another dollar, another deadly session full of swashbuckling combat with gonzo mutants! It's our final (for now) session in Glitch Spire! If you're interested in the dungeon, you can check it out here:

The Written Synopsis

The party continued to explore the ancient, time-traveled floors of Glitch Spire. After convincing an animated cloud of spores from a dried up puddle of wine to grant them passage through the upper levels, the heroes ventured onto a balcony and were attacked by E.L. Spidre, the centaurish vome man-spider they met on their way into the tower. A swashbuckling battle ensued in which Loyalty bungee-jumped from a strand of the vome spider’s giant web and swung into the War Queen’s Library several floors below.

E.L. Spidre was at last defeated, though Alroy’s pet crab Caster was nearly chewed to death in the melee. The tower-raiding crew rendezvoused with Miela, Peptid, and the mech-bound spirit of Diligence Death Mary outside the tower. Caster was left to their ministrations near their parked camel-headed megapede. Hathak also stayed outside the tower and practiced tree-talk with the two 20-foot-tall bronze baobabs that had followed them to the tower (on account of Hathak's contagious tree-awakening curse).

Loyalty and Alroy explored further up the tower and discovered the mummified true corpse of the War Queen Katyu S'Amythyst. Alroy attempted in vain to reunite Katyu's time-lost personality-soul with this long dead body to at last put her to rest once and for all. Katy refused to face her mortality, and when Alroy tried to cajole her into it, she gave every sign of intending to attack him and the brick-man backed off.

So Alroy and Loyalty climbed to the uppermost balcony of the tower using a strand of E.L. Spidre's web, where they were attacked by a giant centipede leech with human arms for legs. Loyalty convinced Oriono, the bounty hunter they met last session, to lead the attack against the monster, then fled and left Oriono to die a leechy death. Alroy and Loyalty fled to a memory-theater healf-heartedly guarded by an indifferent and unhelpful talking flying zombie swordfish. They stuck their heads into the memory projector and enjoyed watching their younger days of looking out from seaside civilization at the sprawling irradiated wastes and dreaming of adventure. Then the giant leech barged in and drained nearly all of Loyalty's blood, rendering hum unconscious. Alroy, being made of brick, was immune to the leech's bite, and fought the beast in a long, boring slog of a battle, lazily commentated by the floating zombie swordfish.

Meanwhile, Hathak paraded his bronze baobabs in an effort to deter a giant violent-machine porcupine that was moving toward the tower. Eventually Hathak was forced to mount the party's camel-megapede and, along with Diligence Death Mary, face the godzilla-sized porcupine in direct combat. Despite the near-death of the party's megapede and some burns from the procupine's lightning breath, Hathak was triumphant (and Alroy was able at last to defeat the giant leech thing).  Grievously wounded, the party split their spoils with their employer Rouge Lombardo and his Entourage, and then left the tower, headed to the Nomad lands to rest and recuperate.
